Well last week we promoted a product from Think Geek (http://www.thinkgeek.com/index.shtml), and got mixed feedback on the USS Enterprise (http://www.technewshw.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6185) being used to cut pizza. This week can we risk the Wampa snow beast being made into a rug? Or perhaps C-3PO being implemented into a backpack solution? Well let us Sci Fi fans find out on the press release sent to us by Jessica Darrican of the Max Borges Agency.

FAIRFAX, VA – (October 5, 2010)

Today, ThinkGeek is proud to announce the availability of two all-new products celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back - the Star Wars Wampa Rug and the C-3PO Bespin Backpack. At ThinkGeek, there is no age limit to Star Wars fandom, so this decorative rug and plush backpack were created to give all fans the ability to immerse themselves in the Star Wars story!

With the assistance of the experts over at Comic Images, ThinkGeek has created two products that are sure to become the favorites of many fans. While exploring the Hoth tundra, Luke was viciously attacked by a terrifying Wampa snow beast. Now, you can turn the tables on the ferocious creature and take him home in the form of a fun “bear style” rug! The Star Wars Wampa Rug is made of high-quality synthetic fur, has a plush pillow head, vinyl claws and measures 62” long x 30” wide.

The C-3PO Bespin Backpack recalls the classic scene from The Empire Strikes Back when the hapless protocol droid was blown apart by stormtroopers. Before he could be fully reconstructed by Chewbacca, 3PO was carried around on the Wookiee’s back during the Rebels’ escape from Bespin. This C-3PO features cool light-up flickering eyes and also has a storage compartment for your electronics right in his torso. The backpack is made from a high quality golden leatherette material, and comes with all appendages that can be easily assembled into a complete droid measuring over 3 feet (40”) tall. While in backpack form, C-3PO measures 22” high x 13” wide x 8” deep.

Both products are in stock and available for purchase from ThinkGeek.com. The Star Wars Wampa Rug is available now for $99.99 and the C-3PO Bespin Backback is available for $59.99.
