IBM bundles tools into Mobile Foundation portfolio

BM has repackaged its enterprise mobile services into a new portfolio called Mobile Foundation, which the company revealed on Monday.

The suite covers integration, security and management for mobile devices. It also includes application development tools that IBM acquired when it bought the Israeli software firm Worklight, allowing customers to write for iOS, Android and BlackBerry.

"Throughout the last decade… we have evolved our market-leading portfolio to meet our clients' needs to extend their reach through new channels like mobile and cloud computing," IBM application and integration middleware chief Marie Wieck said in a statement.
