CoolIT ECO AMD Style

Today we are going to follow up on our original CoolIT ECO review. Dave originally tested this compact liquid cooling solution on an Intel platform and achieved great results. In our follow up we will be testing the CoolIT ECO on an AMD system powered by the Phenom II 940BE processor as well as the new Phenom II X6 1055T. The BE indicates that the CPU is from AMD’s Black Edition lineup of unlocked processors and that it is targeting the overclocking audience. The Phenom II X6 1055T does not have an unlocked clock frequency multiplier which changes the overclocking options. We will have to hope that the RAM in our test system cooperates with changes to the FSB speed. The big brother and higher clocked Phenom II X6 1090T has an unlocked multiplier but not our 1055T.

edit: I'm still using my H70 even after digging it out of my cellar. Recently I ran some oc's to test out lower voltages. at 4ghz and 1.33v I can report that temps didn't go over 50*c even playing surround games using this cooler. my 920 is still going strong as I ran a benchmark test at 4gig and can report that I now have my highest ever benchmark result using my 580 SLI setup. at 4gig and 1.33v 24/7 my system ran smoothly no hangups and completely stable all day and night.
